Some thoughts about the US

The current conflicts between the left and the right wing in the US are not revolution but riots.

Since the 2000s, it is more obvious that there is no longer a motto, or genre but stakeholders behind these social movements. Think, there was John Locke behind independence movement, there was "Uncle Tom's Cabin" behind the civil war, also there was Bob Dylan behind the anti-war movement. Those mottos are visions which were made, in most cases, by one individual. Even many authors thought they are just personal opinions but it turns out that people accepted it and eventually developed into a real movement.

What about now? It is always the movement comes first after a motto is established. The tea party, occupy Wall Street, black lives matter, trade protectionism, they are all like a peasant revolt because there is no clear vision about what they are going to achieve. What they have is "I want this, and I want that, and I want them all"-ism outcry. There is no leadership, by that I mean someone who really have enough intellectual caliber to carry out a social movement.

A white supremacist has so many things to object. It can be black, muslim, Mexican, Russian, Chinese, or widely speaking LGBTQs. They can always find something to hate, but Jewish?
