feeling
China now is like a high-speed train in a thunderstorm, now we can not stay out of the way any more. We are not the onlookers, we are the passengers.

Sparrow
人生,to be continued.

GO GO GO

all about china
Before we start our discussion, we had better make it clear to what we are going to talk about: China, communist party, Chinese and Taiwanese (including HK&Macau).
First, China is a very complicated topic, when you read an article about China, you'd better pay attention to what they mainly talk about. If you find that the writer is trying to use an example to describe the whole China, then I suggest you ignore the article. Reason? If you read the wiki page about China, the descriptions are different in different language versions. And another thing is that if you look up the item about the event that happened in 1989 in Chinese version, you will find this description: (students) girls are crying desperately, and boys are extremely angry with their clenched fists. As for me, I won't believe this part. I'm a Chinese, this scene would only appear on the stage. It's so ideal that may not happen and the writer of this part certainly wouldn't be regard as a neutral writer. So even a Chinese doesn't have a clear picture of this, how can you be so confident that yours is true. It's so complex mixed with lots of stuff by socialist, anti-communist party organization, extreme right or left and prejudice from other country. And with the Internets development, a person's extreme thoughts could be zoomed in, of course the media have now play an important role in this "war".
I love my country but...
Communist party, first I would say I'm not a supporter of them, and so do the plenty of Chinese. They each have different reason to oppose them, as for me, I can't stand and understand the censorship of Internet because I think it's a rather stupid idea that would make Chinese more stupid and even ignorant (OK you might say Ignorance is power). So yes, personally I support the freedom of Internet especially in China to fight against corruption. But would we Chinese fight against them? Unfortunately, it's an impossible mission. Now you might say poor Chinese, you even aren't able to let them out of power using your votes. But I have to say I'm sure that they will win the election if there was an election in China. A very important reason is that China is not a developed country, and the communist party did do something to the development , yeah you might again say that they can be replaced with other more democratic group or party, but it would take a long time and frankly they won't let you do so. I want to stress that communist party is not extremely bad as some western writers describe (that's just prejudice). But most importantly what most Chinese people concern is stability. "Stability is of overriding importance." the party said. What they have done are mainly for the stability. And actually things happened in the Libya and other northern African countries proved that this change will certainly be bloody. We all fear about war. "Fight!" I dare you.
To this society, Chinese are cowards and this society itself is rather pathetic.
You can read this What a Long,Strange March It's Been(BY JEFFREY WASSERSTROM form FP) to understand our feelings. And I suggest you not believe all what the article said as you know…
Chinese, also a complex topic, there I want to talk about mainland Chinese. As you know we have more than 130000.... people, so the diversity is extremely high. (This is for those people who shouted die Chinese, which I think they in this way have already admitted they're just a barbarous species. These sort of things also happened in china). Part of Chinese strongly support their government, they‘re fools, no more to say. And another part of Chinese want to get government down, fools, nothing to say. (I have told you).
Then the most part of the Chinese is this: farmers: they want make more money and have a comfortable life, they won't do anything that can not benefit them and their attention about politics is usually limited within their village. Workers, like farmers but they have stronger ambitious for changing their lives.Government officials (not "boss"), They work hard all their life for more money and for higher position. Their only goal is promotion and I'm sure they must have something like doublethink. Pathetic, ah...... Me? Yeah the citizen including youth college students, young office worker, educated adolescent, we are pathetic too in some sense. You can change something (like a suggestion but usually it is the pressure that make the governors do)but you can't change the basic rules(yeah including this freaky censorship). There what I want to say is that we can present our feelings freely (speak freely (not in public) or just act as a joke that everybody know what it really means then end with a smile, pathetic again. But indeed it's a progress since 1976. In the printing or Internet you need to be more careful to avoid being blocked or punished or accused). If you keep "silence", then anything will be OK.
Taiwanese, to be short, are mainly divided into two parts, one want to be independent, another one want to be one China, that doesn't mean "to unite", certainly there are some people really want to unite. They are Chinese too, but are more free and somehow more crazy.
Tibetan, why does this word attract this world so much? Massacres. Where are massacres? As I have told you, these kind of things usually mixed with thousands view, so discovering the truth I think would be really tough. Finally it depends on you to decide which side to believe.
Another important person is Dalai Lama. Can he help Tibetans out of slavery and poverty? Actually this is the reason why he now lives in India. If he gives up the slavery, he still can't get back. The official Xinhua says he intended to claim more land for Tibet and get more autonomous right like HK. If it's true Chinese government certainly won't let them come back. I have no idea.
HK& Macau is like a safe harbor, there you won't worry about political storm but indeed there're also political organizations which some of them support central government and some of them don't.
To be continued if you like.
It has been long since I didn't write in English, and recently one of my teachers said I've got some grammatical mistakes then I finished this tonight as a practice. Besides I wrote this for I've seen many views about China that some of them are just insane. All of us need to be calm.
